Meet the Winemakers!
Making wine is a family affair at Holly Ridge Winery in Livingston, TN. Their founder, Curtis Wallin, is a classically trained musician and performer. Initially, wine was only his hobby. His passion for this distinct alcoholic beverage eventually led him to establish a winery. He runs the business with assistance from his children, Rebecca and Chris, who have education and experience in Biological and Chemical Sciences. Chris is also a winemaker for another winery near Nashville, Tennessee.
We caught up with Curtis and Rebecca Wallin for this Q & A:
Q – If you had just THREE words to describe your wine style, what would
they be?
A – Original, Unique blends.
Q – What’s your favorite part of running a winery? Least Fav?
A – We enjoy interacting with all of our customers more than anything! Our least favorite is some overreaching government regulations. Especially those that target the wine industry.
Q – How has COVID changed your winery, and what do you most look forward to post-coronoa-life? We’ve had to learn to transition to curbside pickup, loss of our beloved wine festivals and reduced foot traffic. Post corona we look forward to welcoming our customers back and getting our business back to normal levels as well as seeing all of our loyal and new festival friends.
Q – Anything else you want folks to know about your winery?
A – We are excited to announce the release of two new blends in 2020!
