Meet the Winemakers!
May is Wine & Grape Month in TN! Every #WineWednesday we’ll bring you an interview with a TN winemaker. Today we visit with Nikki Riddle at The Winery at Seven Springs Farm , on a farm just outside Maynardville. Nikki is a great winemaker, and describes her style as “fruit forward” and “balanced.” Be sure to try James’s Peach 🍑 🍷, named for her dear ol’ dad! Here are some other Q’s we asked Nikki:
Q – What’s your favorite part of running a winery?
A – Getting to make a product that makes people happy!
Q – Are you open after Covid?
A – We never closed. We stopped doing tastings awhile, but those are back. And we offer curbside pickup as a service to our customers.
Q – What are you most looking forward to when the pandemic is over?
A – Having a huge party and live entertainment again. We’ve had to stop all events, even though the winery is open.
Q – What do you want folks to know about your winery?
A – That we have something for everyone, give it a try! My favorite wine is Farmhouse White, but our new Homestead White is pretty delicious, too. It’s 100% Niagara grapes, with amazing aromas of peaches, melons, and nectarines.
