Food Vendors
The festival has room for 4 food vendors. Two will be food trucks, and two will be vendors set up inside our large seating tent.

***

As a food vendor at Nine Lakes Wine Festival, June 1, 2019, you’ll have a captive and hungry audience! Last year we had 1,200 guests and volunteers.

All vendors will set up the morning of  June 1, 2019, and be ready to serve from 3 to 8 p.m., in Melton Lake Park.

We are looking for foods that would pair well with Tennessee wine, which means higher-end offerings (i.e., not corn dogs or cotton candy). We encourage “small plate” offerings, as customers will appreciate getting tastes of many foods, but of course you may set your own prices and serving sizes.

  • Vendor Fees – Spaces are $225 for either food trucks or tent vendors. Our tent vendors will have 2 tables, and be inside a larger seating tent. All vendors should bring your own table cloths, plates, forks, etc., and safety equipment (fire extinguisher). Grills are not allowed inside the seating tent. Foods served by our tent vendors should be things like cold salads, desserts, or dishes that can be prepared with a small portable stove. SAVE $25 if you register and pay by Feb. 1, 2019.
  • 110 20 AMP Electricity is provided for tent vendors and is included in your vendor cost. Electricity is NOT available for food trucks.  All food trucks must bring their own generators.
  • Point of Sale – Vendors will bring their own point of sale systems.
  • What to bring – Prepare fresh, creative foods that would pair well with wine. Special consideration given to any vendor who uses a Tennessee wine in a sauce or other element.
  • Crowd Estimate – Last year we had about 1200 people at the festival.
  • Location – If the weather cooperates, we will be in the grassy area of Melton Lake Park. If it is VERY rainy we will move to the Peninsula parking lot at Melton Lake Park.

Space is subject to cancellation if payment is not received according to the terms of this contract. Musicians
We will choose a few musicians for the festival. Application will be open in January 2019. Please fill this out completely:

Musician Application

  • Nine Lakes Wine Festival celebrates the wines of East Tennessee's Wine Country, which is the 16-county region surrounding Knoxville, Tennessee. The festival will be Saturday, June 1, from 3 to 8 p.m., on the waterfront at Melton Lake Park in Oak Ridge, TN. Bands will be selected based on professionalism and variety. We are looking for fun and upbeat background music in a variety of styles. Please remember, this is a wine festival, not a music festival, so bands must be willing to stay in the background, playing at a decibel level that allows our winemakers to talk to the public. You will be provided a covered pavilion with a professionally run sound system, plus one tasting ticket per band member. You will receive one food voucher and tasting wristband per band member, up to 5. Bands will each play for about 1.5 hours. Please fill out this form completely. We will make decisions on music by Jan. 31, 2019.
  • Musicians are responsible for their own musical licensing fees if applicable. Vendor hereby grants a limited, non-exclusive license to use trade names, trademarks, service marks and proprietary information for promotion of the festival. Nine Lakes Wine Festival agrees that the Proprietary Information will be used only in connection with the Event to provide the benefits set forth in the proposal. The audience estimates of Nine Lakes Wine Festival and actual attendance figures may vary materially. No portion of the sponsorship payment or in-kind services is subject to refund. This agreement may be amended only by a written instrument executed by both parties. This agreement is governed by Tennessee law and is binding upon all the parties' successors and assigns.
