Catering Application, Nine Lakes Wine Festival VIP Event

Nine Lakes Wine Festival is accepting proposals from caterers to provide food for the VIP Taste of Gold event at Nine Lakes Wine festival. We welcome you to apply!

WHERE/WHEN: Friday, May 18, 6 to 8:30 p.m. Outdoors, under large tents and pavilion at Melton Lake Park, Oak Ridge. Food serving time will be 6:30 to 8 p.m.

EXPECTED GUESTS: 200-250. We will hire more than one caterer if necessary. Please indicate your successful serving capacity on the form.

WHAT: A VIP “gold-medal” tasting of about 25 gold-medal winning Tennessee wines, along with “small plate” cuisine that can go with a variety of wines.

SERVING LENGTH: 1.5 hours.

Casual Event, Stylish Food!
While this event is outdoors and therefore casual, it is not sloppy. We want the food and wine to reflect the highest quality. Our emphasis is on fresh, locally grown foods and dishes or sauces that can be prepared with Tennessee wines.

 

CATERER WOULD PROVIDE:
• A complete meal encompassing all food groups, including 2 meat choices, a vegetarian option, and savory and sweet sides. Think “small plate” cuisine, not a big sit-down dinner.
• One non-alcoholic drink station.
• All serving/wait staff for food, willing to set up and clean up food area completely. Wine will be served by our winemakers.
• All dishes and tableware, including glasses for non-alcoholic drinks (wine glasses are provided by festival). High quality paper products are fine, as are real dishes.

FESTIVAL WILL PROVIDE:

  • All Tennessee wines for food preparation if needed, plus wine at the event.
  • Tables, chairs
  • Wine Glasses
  • Electricity
  • Table decorations
  • Live music, and entertainment
